According to Steam's latest March survey, NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 3060 has surpassed both the GTX 1060 and the RTX 2060, reaching over 10 percent and taking the top spot. NVIDIA has been dominating the market with over 80 percent of users running on their GPUs, while AMD holds just over 10 percent. This means that the NVIDIA RTX 3060 has almost as many users on Steam as all AMD Radeon graphics cards combined. Intel holds just over 6 percent, but it's important to note that Intel and AMD numbers also include integrated GPUs.
When it comes to CPUs, 74.46 percent of users are running on Intel CPUs, while 25.54 percent are on AMD. The majority of users have a 6-core CPU, with 45.76 percent, while 8-core CPUs take 18.45 percent. Memory amounts have also increased, with 56.92 percent of users running on 16 GB and 22.41 percent on 32 GB systems. As for operating systems, most users are running on Windows 10, with 73.95 percent, while Windows 11 takes 22.41 percent.
While some may argue that the Steam Survey is not entirely accurate as it is based on a random survey, it does provide a general idea and a big picture of the current market trends.
