Asustor Unveils Next-Generation NAS Solutions at Computex 2026
At Computex 2026, Asustor showcased a range of innovative NAS (Network Attached Storage) devices, highlighting advancements in performance, connectivity, and intelligent storage management. The lineup included the high-performance Flashstor 6 Gen 3 all-flash NAS and the updated Lockerstor V2 series, alongside the introduction of the Asustor Claw, an AI-powered platform designed for local storage intelligence.
Flashstor 6 Gen 3: High-Performance All-Flash NAS
The Flashstor 6 Gen 3 (FS806X1) stands out as Asustor’s latest all-flash NAS, engineered for demanding workloads and high-speed data access. Housed in a slim chassis measuring 48.3 × 308.26 × 193 mm, this model is powered by an AMD Ryzen 5 Pro R8640U six-core processor, offering a base clock of 3.5 GHz and a boost up to 4.9 GHz. It comes equipped with 8 GB of DDR5-5600 memory, expandable up to an impressive 96 GB, ensuring smooth multitasking and future-proofing for intensive applications.
Storage flexibility is a key feature, with support for up to six M.2 2280 NVMe SSDs, enabling ultra-fast read and write speeds. Connectivity options are robust, including a 10 GbE network port for high-speed transfers, four USB 10 Gbps ports, and an HDMI output on the rear panel. The front panel features two USB4 Type-C ports, catering to modern peripheral and device connectivity needs. Comprehensive RAID support is available, covering Single, JBOD, RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, and spare drive configurations, providing both performance and data protection options.
Lockerstor V2 Series: Versatile NAS for Diverse Needs
The Lockerstor V2 series was also prominently featured, offering three models tailored to different storage requirements. All models are powered by Intel Celeron N5105 quad-core processors and include dual 5 GbE network ports for enhanced data throughput. Each unit is equipped with four M.2 NVMe slots in addition to traditional SATA bays, allowing users to combine SSD speed with HDD capacity.
- AS6706T v2: The largest in the series, this model features six SATA bays and 8 GB of DDR4-2933 memory, housed in a 185.5 × 233 × 230 mm chassis.
- AS6704T v2: A mid-sized option with four SATA bays and 4 GB of RAM, measuring 185.5 × 170 × 230 mm.
- AS6702T: The most compact, offering two drive bays in a 185.5 × 108 × 230 mm enclosure, ideal for smaller setups or home offices.
Asustor Claw: AI-Driven Local Storage Intelligence
In addition to hardware innovations, Asustor introduced the Asustor Claw platform at Computex 2026. This new solution leverages agentic AI to enhance local storage management, moving beyond traditional AI assistants. The Claw platform is designed to handle logistics, analytics, and automated sorting tasks directly on the NAS, reducing reliance on cloud-based processing and improving data privacy and efficiency.
