ASRock Unveils Radeon RX 9070 XT Taichi OC Flagship Card

ASRock introduced its flagship card, the Radeon RX 9070 XT Taichi OC, at CES 2025. TechPowerUp staff members quickly noticed that this design featured a 12V-2x6 power connector, a connection standard previously associated with NVIDIA GeForce 40 and 50-series graphics cards. ASRock and Sapphire have both released premium RDNA 4 GPU-based models with 12V-2x6 connectors, moving away from the traditional 8-pin power delivery channels.

The Radeon RX 9070 XT Taichi OC SKU came with a new aesthetic, featuring gunmetal gray shades, gear graphics, and ARGB lighting zones. Visitors to ASRock's Computex 2025 booth were impressed by the array of new products, including the brand-new Radeon RX 9060 XT models.

TPU's photographer missed capturing a special current-gen Taichi spin-off. ASRock seems to have drawn inspiration from PowerColor's "Spectral White" line for their "Taichi White 16 GB OC Concept Card." This concept card maintains the overclocked Radeon RX 9070 XT specifications, including a 3.1 GHz boost clock, but it also includes an LCD information window. While the display was not active during the event, industry experts speculate that the finalized retail versions may come at a higher price due to this additional feature.

Company representatives at Computex event have shared minimal details about the Taichi White card. It remains to be seen if this concept will move beyond the prototype stage, possibly as a limited edition release.
